Barclays Premier League Preview : Everton host Arsenal at Goodison Park this Sunday. Here's a preview of the upcoming game from iSport Bureau. Read on!

Tim Cahill Everton v Arsenal

Arsenal would have got their confidence back after 0-2 away win against Wolves on Wednesday at Molineux as they bounced back from a home defeat to Newcastle and will be hoping that there are no more slip-ups in order to stay in the fight for the premier League title.

Gunners who are five points behind the leaders Chelsea have 11 points away from home compared to 12 at home this season.

Considering their previous record against Everton, Arsenal would be riding high on confidence as they have won four of the last six meetings both home and away while two of them have ended in a draw.

Arsenal would not be looking to make a whole lot of changes to the team that beat Wolves and Theo Walcott and Samir Nasri who were rested at Molineux, could return.

While Laurent Koscielny is suspended so Johan Djourou will continue in the centre of defence while Arsenal will be still without central defender Abou Diaby , who is not too far away from a return following an ankle injury. There are very good chances that defender Kieran Gibbs may be available. While Thomas Vermaelen (Achilles) and Aaron Ramsey are definitely unabailable.

Their last season meeting at Goodison Park saw Arsenal crush Everton 6-1.

Everton, who have drawn their last two games against Blackpool and Bolton, will be looking to regain their good form which they had in October. They drew 1-1 with Bolton on Wednesday with the help of Jermaine Beckford who came on as a substitute and scored the equaliser.

The Everton Manager will have a selection headache with regards to Louis Saha , Yakubu Aiyegbeni or the last match hero Jermaine Beckford..

Marouane Fellaini will miss out as he begins a three-match suspension after receiving a straight red card for kicking out at Paul Robinson.

John Heitinga might find a place in the starting eleven, whereas Jack Rodwell, who has recovered from ankle ligament damage, will have to fight for his place.

Victor Anichebe (knee), Ross Barkley (broken leg) and Leon Osman (ankle) are definitely on the sidelines.

Facts:

  • The Gunners have 11 points away from home compared to 12 at home.
  • Everton are unbeaten in their last 7 matches.
  • The Gunners have won four of the last six meetings both home and away while two of them have ended in a draw.
  • The Gunners have scored a staggering 11 goals in their last three visits to Goodison Park.
  • Everton last beat Arsenal 3 years ago in March 2007, at Goodison Park
