After the last Super Sunday of this season, iSporter Pulasta Dhar pens a light-hearted summary of one of the most exciting leagues in the world….

1) Chelsea deserved the title because they beat United, Arsenal and Liverpool home and away conceding just one goal in six matches. Well done Chelsea!
2) Didier Drogba suffers from Self Obsession. He is foolish enough to think the Golden Boot is greater than the Premier League, sulking after Lampard put the Blues on course for a 4th title.
3) Under-Achievers of the season: Liverpool. They were, simply put, BAD.
4) Over-Achievers of the season: Wolverhampton Wanderers. Everyone except themselves believed they would go down.

5) Signing of the season: Darren Bent, Carlos Tevez and Jermaine Defoe. I would also include Joe Hart and Thomas Vermaelen.
6) Worst signing of the season: Joint holders would be Alberto Aquilani and Yuri Zhirkov….expensive and ineffective.
7) Manchester Utd were expected to tumble without Ronaldo and Tevez. Contrary to that, they pushed Chelsea till the end….just a point behind them.

8) Roy Hodgson has to be the manager of the year along with Harry Redknapp. They both did great work with their respective teams. And wow, if Redknapp is HR, Roy is RH. Football is crazy. And they both have numerous chins.
9) Chelsea can win titles without Mourinho
10) Probably, a fourth title in a row would have made the Premier League boring, so it’s good to have different champion this year
11) Arsenal need a striker
12) The top scorer of the league is Drogba, while Rooney is the European top scorer from the Premier League with 34
13) Chelsea now need to think on how to replace their 30+ squad
14) Ancelotti is one of the rare Italian managers who knows how to make his team attack as well as defend
15) Sir Alex did not get anything from the 80 million he got by selling Ronaldo. Case closed and let’s not argue. It went to debt repayment.
16) Portsmouth play well and win when adversity is smiling on their faces.
17) David James is 40!!
18) This might be the 6th last Premier League we see unless teams start paying off their debts

19) Midfielders of the season goes to Fabregas, Lampard and Milner. Malouda was also standout after moving in-field rather than the left flank. Scotty Parker was a phenomenon at times.
20) Wingers of the season are Valencia, who laid out tons of goals. Lennon and Etherington were also top class when in form. Let us not forget Mikael Arteta and Steven Pienaar.
21) No one knows where Andriy Shevchenko is.
22) Scene of the year goes to Drogba, Ballack and Lampard fighting over a freekick in some match.
23) Performance of the year goes to Fabregas, who came off the bench against Villa and did the unthinkable. Regular Premier League watchers will know what I’m saying. Also, Paul Scholes’s and Michael Owen’s last minute goals against City were great moments.
24) Voila! No English team in the Last 4 of the Champions League!
25) Ronaldo is still the best. He got 25 goals in his first season at the Bernabeau.
26) Loanee of the season: Jack Wilshere to Bolton from Arsenal. If Wenger doesn’t get him back, we should take away his Engineer’s degree. Joe Hart will also get another mention (Birmingham from City).
27) Loaned out of the Premier League player of the season: Robbie Keane. Did wonders for Celtic. Anybody remembers Robinho?

28) Moment of madness: Beach-ball at Sunderland vs Liverpool. That was where it all started. Wayne Bridge’s handshake snub was soapy too.

29) How can you cheat on Cheryl Cole? Well, just ask Ashley. Ridiculous.
30) It’s still the most watched league….the Premier League.
