Things sure have changed around Anfield as this summer has seen some players leaving the club as well as the much under fire manager, the one Rafa Benetiz. There has been a lot of reshuffling behind closed doors as well with the clubs American owners looking to sell their stake in the club.

Having said all that based on last season's performance it was definitely time for a much needed change at the club. With Rafa no longer at the helm at Anfield things certainly look to be more promising, and one thing is for sure things will certainly be different under the new Gafa Roy Hodgson.

The good news is that the stars are staying at the Kop.Yes I'm talking about El Nino and Stevie G. Yes we have ended up losing Mascherano, but since he wanted to leave I do think he's best gone. On the bright side we've made some promising  new acquisitions with the likes of Poulsen,Meireles,Jovanovic and Konchesky all coming in to the side and let's not forget Joe Cole.In my opinion the team could do with one more out and out striker to give Torres more support but hopefully Ngog will come of age this season.

The new season has definitely started off on a positive note with us qualifying for the Europa league and while we have made a slow start to our Premiership campaign it has been a steady one and we must remember that our team has just started rebuilding under the new boss.Time we must give him but time is of the essence if we are to make an impact in the Premiership and qualify for the Champions league which should be top priority for us this season.

Reina made a mess against Arsenal but we would not have come out with a draw against Birmingham had it not been for his heroics. He definitely is one of our strongest assets.
Meireles has shown promise in his short appearance against Birmingham and Poulsen should settle down soon. I have pinned my hopes on Joe Cole who could make a big impact for the club this season and was unlucky to be sent off against Arsenal.

All in all I think it has been a promising start to the new season and I hope with a new Gafa at the helm of things at Anfield this season will bring joy to the Kop and something for the fans at the Anfield club to cheer about. After all "You'll never walk alone".
