As the English Premier League enters its final stages, there will be tears for some and joy for some. These two factors will be decided in the next three gameweeks where relegation scramblers and title chasers will fight it out for the ultimate status. iSporter Pulasta Dhar calls it a film that is yet not over.....

I have been hearing people tell me how this has been one of the best seasons ever in the English top division, but I did not believe it until I saw how United beat City and Spurs beat Chelsea last week. Derbies are never decided on paper and the saying was well honoured as an over-confident Chelsea got thrashed by Tottenham and an ragged looking United mustered up some old memories with a last gasp goal from trusty Gingerhead. After Arsenal looked like a train which stalled due to a faulty signal called Wigan, the title is again a two-horse race.

The relegation battle is also one to die for if you follow some bottom clubs. Portsmouth have already gone down, courtesy spending too much and living in an imaginary world where they thought they are European material. Anybody from 14th placed Bolton to 19th placed Burnley could go down, given the teams who are currently ‘in the zone’ win the rest of their matches. I firmly believe that it will not happen, but still, belief is something that has gone to the dry cleaners this season. West Ham are hanging by a thread and so are Wolves. Personally, I would like Zola to stay on as manager irrespective of the Hammers going down or staying up. Problem is that his players are just not able to implement some excellent tactics of the legendary Chelsea player.
Hull City have a game in hand and Iain Dowie needs to get his battalion back in order to win the last 3 games, or else risk going back to a dull orange from the famed Oranje as they were called last season. Wigan helped themselves massively to get into a comfortable zone, even though they should have been comfy ages ago with an excellent squad…young, resilient and full of goals. Roberto Martinez needs to ensure they are not in the teens at this stage next year.
The 4th place position is one of the most coveted and breaking it in ages will breathe some life into the Premier League. Liverpool really do not deserve to be there and let us not moan about their football, as they did that on the pitch quite a lot of times this season. Tottenham have been a revelation of sorts after starting of as Champion material last season and falling down the table like a pack of cards. King Harry took the reigns in his hands and got them where they deserve to be. With such an in-depth squad and so many option in every part of the field, they might as well be good European material and probably push for 2nd or 3rd next season. A lot has to do with an unusual number of full backs in their squad (Corluka, Bale, Walker and Naughton(both Kyle), Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto and Hutton).

The title run-in will be interesting to watch as Spurs take on United and Chelsea will hope the Devils get a shocker just like them and Chelsea take on Liverpool. Will the Scousers win it for United? Only time will tell….
