Introduction: Kunal Shah has pursued two extreme sports since he was a kid. He started off sailing while serving Sea Cadet Corps and underwent thorough training for 6 years under the able leadership of India's finest sailors, Shakeel Kudrolli. He doubled up sailing lessons during his school days and then further pursued motorsport during his college years. He was one of the few Indians to be invited to race in the Formula Ford series in UK. However, Kunal decided to move closer to home and in the cheaper but competitive Formula BMW Series in Asia. He underwent training with India's first ever National Karting Champion Asif Nazir for his hot pursuits on the racing tracks.
In 2005, He was awarded racing seats with prestigious BMW racing teams, but couldn't honour the financial commitment to compete a full season. In 2006, he tested for NK Racing before finally hanging up his boots and pursuing a career in sports management.
He currently works with the Force India Formula1 team and looks after their marketing and brand building activities. He also teaches sailing on the weekends via Aquasail, a club formed by Shakeel Kudrolli. And then of course during his free times, he scribbles on iSport.in - look out for his expert analysis on Formula1.
