Former West Indies captain and star batsman, Brian Lara, has signed up as a batting consultant for the Zimbabwe cricket team.

The star batsman who hit 34 centuries in 131 Tests with a world-record score of 400 not out and an average of 52.88, Will work with Zimbabwe national team during the 2011 World Cup and the home Test series against Bangladesh in May.
The 41-year-old Trinidadian is currently playing for a local Zimbabwean team Masvingo Rocks in a Twenty20 tournament.
"It's a well-structured contract. I'm definitely looking forward to working with the team," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Lara, as saying.
The series against Bangladesh in May will see Zimbabwe return to Test cricket after a five-year absence.
