The team
Another new team, another set of goals, another pair of optimistic eyes. Right? No, wrong! The eyes we’re talking about are Vijay D Jain’s. The man is an achiever alright, but with a spark. What doesn’t come into light at first sight, is the man’s humble stature and excellent people skills. We often hear of men who befriend everything around them. If Vijay D Jain isn’t one of them, we can’t say who is.
Vijay was a born achiever. Although his journey to the top, like all great journeys of mankind, was nothing short of a roller-coaster. A near decade long journey, mostly on one wheel, ended with such sweet success, Vijay doesn’t plan on letting go of the high anytime soon.
With this spirit of hard-work and success, Vijay D Jain got all of his motorsport experience together and launched his very own racing outfit, Team Wheelieboy Racing. In case you’re wondering what the whole deal about ‘Wheelieboy’ is, well, Vijay D Jain is well known in the Indian motorsport scene as ‘Wheelieboy’ for his awesome long range wheelies on not just his Honda XR650L which he parted ways with later on, but also his tiny Bajaj Chetak! Small the scooter may have been, but our man certainly got big air!
Team Wheelieboy Racing (TWR) makes its debut at the Gulf Dirt Track Cup 2009 organised by Sportscraft. Five acclaimed riders, participating on 2 on 4 stroke motorcycles are set to represent the team on the start/finish line. Vijay D Jain has meticulously participated in short-listing each member of his team, coming to which, it has to be mentioned that the team is exceptionally well-equipped for a brand new outfit. Apart from the skilled riders, he has a knowledgeable service crew, ready medical aid and not to mention, fantastic sponsors like Performance Racing Store as Riding Gear Sponsor, B.S.Motoring as Magazine Partner and last but not the least iSport as online partner. Vijay, being the Founder of TWR, is often seen exchanging notes and fine-tuning his riders’ motorcycle skills during practice sessions.
Team Wheelieboy Racing is a promising racing team, with a long way to go for sure. Looking at the pedigree of each of its members, TWR’s zeal and enthusiasm is definitely not to be taken lightly. Expect a lot of action across dirt tracks across the country now on, and a prospective international event winning team in a very short while.
