Asian Para Games Update: Para swimmer Prasanta Karmakar has won his second Bronze medal in as many days at the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games to make India proud once again.

The champion swimmer won the bronze in the Men's 50m Freestyle (S9 category).
Karmakar clocked 28.06sec and finished third behind Zhi Guo, who won the gold clocking a time of 25.79sec and Zhenyu Lin, who bagged the silver clocking a time of 27.26sec.
The Men's 50m Freestyle (S9) was a timed final that consisted of two heats, and the medals were awarded based on the fastest times across both the heats. Zhenyu Lin finished first in the first heat, while Zhi Guo clocked the fastest time in the second heat with Karmakar following close behind, putting him in third position overall.
Karmakar had won a bronze medal in the same 50m freestyle event at the Commonwealth Games which made him the first Indian ever to win a medal in aquatics at the Commonwealth Games.
This is Karmakar's second medal in as many days at the Asian Games which has made him the only Indian multi-medalist at the games as of today.
He had won a bronze medal in the Men's 200m Individual Medley (SM9) race yesterday.
This was his fourth international medal in the year 2010 as he had earlier won medals at Commonwealth Games 2010 and the German Championships in Berlin.
A delighted Prasanta Karmakar said "This year has been an unforgettable and emotional one for me! I am glad to have brought back home a medal tally that the nation can be proud of. I hope this is just the beginning of many things to come as I continue to work hard with dedication towards the future."
