Taking cue from Mary Kom and Pankaj Advani who won India a Gold and Bronze respectively at the Asian Indoor Games in Vietnam, the Indian snooker team added yet another Gold to India's tally.

Pankaj Advani, 24 and already a 6 times World Champion in both forms of cue sports [5 Billiards, 1 Snooker] added another feather to his cap when he finally received his Padma Shree Award in the hands of India's President Shrimati Pratibha Patil. Pankaj alongwith the other awardees personally visited the President's office in Delhi to receive the medal.
