In spite of the fact that there is very little that has gone right about the Commonwealth Games 2010, we need to remember that it is the biggest multi-nation sports event to be held in India since 1982 Asian Games. And to celebrate this big event iSporter Jigar Mehta has penned a poem.

Every morning the body catches a chilling cold,
Watching our own media ask questions; some pathetic some bold,
No it’s not about the excitements of winning bronze, silver or gold,
It’s All about Common wealth games; does India have the right to hold?
The Concentration is solely only on the darker side,
The great enthusiasm seems to have utterly died,
Making the gaps and holes more broad and super wide,
We have been made to look like an ugly looking bride,
The whole infrastructure thing has been taken for a ride
All this at the expense of our own nation’s pride!
Only because of few corrupts there is a very huge divide,
For the sports ministry this is perfectly the right time to decide,
Pick out the culprits and kick them on their backside!
Why can’t we remember that we have done it all before!
The 1st & the 9th Asian games proudly hosted on our shore,
With humongous talent of 100 crore to the fore
We can bring huge smiles to each and every Indian door!
The Stage is huge and occasion splendidly perfect
Let’s unitedly kick out the little unwanted defect
Keeping our nations integrity & pride intact
Over criticism it’s the support that we shall select!
To the beautiful tunes of Rahman we will dance and sing,
Unitedly a whole lot of change we will bring,
Let’s show the world; we are capable of doing any & everything,
Because for a great sporting country like us; Impossible is nothing!
