The payback series is finally over and captain marvel Mahendra Singh Dhoni led the team to an emphatic victory over the so-called dominant Englishmen! iSporter Jigar Mehta lists top learnings from the series.
Glad it's over: Chants from English cricket team and fans
We want tests too: Chants from Indian cricket team and its fans
Help help help: Chants from West Indian cricketers in response to upcoming Indian series
Here are a few important things we learnt from the India England ODI Series:
1. Definition of Payback: Act or give recompense in recognition of someone's behavior or actionsDefinition of Payback with Interest: Act or give recompense in form of impetuous annihilation in recognition of someone's "Donkeyish" behavior or actions.
Well we all are very much interested in the second one isn't it?
2. Steve Finn in his words was just a "Stupid fast bowler", while Tim Bresnan was the three words in inverted commas above minus the last adjective and noun!

3. Finally the agitation was converted to performance after some one from the English camp tried to sledge a certain so called all-rounder referring him as RA-ONEdra Jadeja!
4. The Stands were 30% filled thanks to on TV presence of Laxman Sivaramakrishnan and 70% empty thanks to on TV absence of so called evergreen (in his own terms) Arun Lal!
5. Death Threats received by Graeme Swann "Don't try to win the series else we'll make you watch the Premier of "RA-ONE!" followed by special screening of "Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag!"
6. Virat Kohli missed out on a century by a single run on four out of five occasions and a double century by two runs on a lone occasion! Well this is not a 'WTF' statement, if you don't believe it check out his reactions after each and every dismissal!

8. Even after passage of "N" long years inside the commentary box, none of the commentators came close to pronouncing "Varun Aaron" perfectly!
9. The reason England couldn't pile on a single score of 300 was, the entire camp was more concerned about the timing of Graeme Swann's autobiography rather than their batsman's!11. Pakistan cricket was once again made proud when shades (I know it's an extremely mild word) of Kamran Akmal and Misbah-ul-Haq were found in Kieswetter and Trott's DNA!
12. Last but not the least, the main reason for great English downfall: They left their lady luck behind, depriving them of Stuart Broad's Mirror act, Bathroom and Bedroom secrets! The author respects each and every individual / player mentioned in this article and requests readers to read the article in the right spirit of humour.
