From the iSport Champions League Pavilion: iSporter Jigar Mehta pens yet another outstanding poem as the Champions League 2010 begins today! Join him and wish all the teams the very best! May the best and most deserving team win!

23trophy

New heroes will be worshiped and many records will tumble,
When the lions will be unleashed out of their own jungle,
Fighting for the biggest crown; under pressure no one will easily crumble,
When 6 Nations 10 teams; battle it out in the Royal Safari rumble.

The occasion will be special and the occasion will be pretty big,
The biggest tournament of the year is here; yes it’s the ‘Champions League!’
Out of the players it brings out the very best as they fight for a mission,
Providing in front of them the sternest of tests and that’s the speciality of this competition!

It’s not the boards but the players who will have the very last say,
Their loyalties will be tested upon their decision to play at Home (country club) or Away (IPL club)!

This year, it's sad to see the counties not waving their English flags!
We dearly welcome our new Kiwi entrants Central Districts Stags.
Unlucky that lost out on Ross Taylor as RCB had a good amount of money in their bags!

With Tait and Nannes around; batsmen are never short of dangers,
Experienced David Hussey and Hodge on a prowl; to this format they are no real strangers,
Fighting to keep the crown in their continent will be Southern Redbacks and Victoria Bushrangers!

Elegant Mahela and Mysterious Mendis will put the Sri Lankans onto the 7th heaven,
Undisputed champs of their domestic circuit they are Sri Lanka’s Wayamba Elevens. Advantage on their side with home conditions and crowd!
Fighting like Gladiators they will try to make their country proud.
Let’s hope that Warriors’ swords will do the talking and Highveld Lions do roar loud!

They have a young squad and the talent you can hardly ever doubt,
With Sarwan around Guyana, they are definitely in with a shout,
Hoping to end the Voodoo of Caribbean trophy drought!
Entertainment will be at its best and whole of India will stall
The moment at the Crease you have Mr Cool, God and the ever dependable Wall!

Let’s support and wish that this time around the Winner is definitely an Indian!
Because this country has all what it takes to be a true "Champion"
Fortunately we have a league that is the best amongst the Ranks,
Let’s compliment all the Masterminds behind it and say out loud a real big Thanks!
