Tennis Update: Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi advanced to the semi-finals while Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi advanced to the quarter-finals of the Valencia Open.

Third seeds Bhupathi and Mirnyi beat Czech Frantisek Cermak and Slovakia's Michal Mertinak 6-3, 6-7(6), 10-6 in the quarter-finals.

The fourth seed Indo-Pak pair of Rohan Bopanna-Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi beat Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay and Argentine Juan Monaco 7-6(6), 4-6 ,14-12  in another hard fought match in the opening round of the Euro 1,357,000 hard court event.

It was a hard fought match and despite being six match-points down during the match, they fought bravely and managed to enter into the quarter-finals.

Bhupathi and Mirnyi will take on top seeds Lukasz Kubot of Poland and Oliver Marach of Austria while Bopanna and Qureshi will next face Spaniards Marc Lopez and David Marrero.
