Rohan Bopanna Achieves His Highest Career Ranking In Tennis Doubles

Tennis Update: Indian Tennis star Rohan Bopanna reached a new high on Monday when he gained two positions to achieve a career- best ranking of number 14 in the latest ATP doubles ranking chart.

After finishing runners-up at St. Petersburg, Bopanna gained two positions. The Indo-Pak pair of Rohan Bopanna-Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi moved one place up to number six with 3175 points which has kept them alive for World Tour Finals, where top eight singles players and doubles teams compete. 

Mahesh Bhupathi and his Belarusian partner Max Mirnyi are ranked 8th with 2970 ranking points.

Meanwhile in the singles, Commonwealth Games Gold medal winner Somdev Devvarman slipped two positions from 94 to 96.
In the WTA charts, Sania Mirza jumped one place to 165 while in doubles; Poojashree Venkatesh jumped 44 places to 554 in singles.
