iSporter Chirag Mansukhani writes anxiously on the much awaited tennis tournament of the year, the Wimbledon.

It is that time of the year again. Yes, the sun is out on a beautiful English summer day, a hint of rain from some greys that cover the sky, the wonderful smell of the grass, the special Wimbledon band and last but not the least champagne and some strawberries and cream.
Wimbledon has always been special for me. Each year I await this tournament with great gusto and enthusiasm. Even though I've never witnessed a live match it is as though I can smell the lush green grass and feel the intensity on the court. Wimbledon is what tennis is all about. And the thing I like the most about Wimbledon is its tradition off course. The players play in traditional whites, they bow to the Royal Box and to this day the Men's Singles and Doubles are referred to as the Gentlemen's Singles and Gentlemen's Doubles.
I tell you there really is nothing quite as majestic as Wimbledon. Although one does get the feeling that the keys to the grand centre court may soon have a new owner. With the Men's game showing intense competition one does get the feeling that my personal favourite, the one and only Roger Federer has been thrown of the perch here by Rafael Nadal. With NoJo hot on Rafa's heels with a splendid season thus far and British hope Andy Murray all gunning for the title it will be interesting to see what unfolds in the fortnight which commences June 20th.
The Women's game too will see some interesting match ups. For one thing serene Serena will make her comeback after an injury plagued year on the grass courts that she loves so much. With the likes of in-form Li Na, Kim Clijsters and Sharapova the Women's Singles draw is certainly set for an exciting battle.
All in all some exciting matchups and I haven't even spoken about the Gentlemen's and Women's Doubles as well as the Mixed Doubles events which always make for some sure shot entertainment.
The 125th Championships are sure to be quite a spectacle. Smart money would still be on Rafa though I'm going to stick with Roger. I still believe the man has some fire power left in him and he still rules the courts at Wimbledon. I'm going to be bold and pick Serena for the Women's singles inspite of her long absence on the courts. Both my picks are true champions and pull through in the greatest of adversity.
For now though Cheerio!!! See you on the courts at SW 19.
