From the iSport Cricket Paddock: After the extra-ordinary win for India thanks to VVS Laxman, iSporter Jigar Mehta pens a humourous piece on the 10 things he thinks Australia must do! A must read!

Laxman

  1. Gift VVS Laxman a video CD called "50 of the worst blunders by a Batsman in test cricket!" just before the start of every series. May be that might help them get him out in at least one of 100 innings! (Note: All the 50 blunders include only one batsman: Shahid Afridi!)
  2. After winning the toss the Australians should bowl first every time so that they are saved from having to bowl to VVS Laxman in both the innings of the game they can just accept the follow on and be on the safer side!
  3. After naming the Sydney cricket ground after Sachin, Cricket Australia should finally name a cricket ground after VVS Laxman. That may cool him down a little bit!
  4. Consider the test series as “Laxman Sachin trophy” not “Border Gavaskar trophy”  that may help Australia’s preparation a little bit!
  5. Cricket Australia must request the ICC to shift the India-Australia series to a neutral venue because it can be the only thing that can save them from Laxman who has averages of 54.05 in Australia and 57.04 in India!
  6. Make him the brand Ambassador of Tourism Australia because Australia has its name and fame because of one and only VVS Laxman!
  7. Australians should try to make Laxman the host of the most popular show “Emotional Atyachaar!” at least he won’t be doing emotional atyachaars on field!
  8. Cricket Australian should ask their team sponsors “VB” to change their name from “Victoria Bitter” to “VVS BETTER!” or may be “VVS BEST!”
  9. Appeal to the ICC to Schedule the India-Australia test series every 15 years from now on because by then both Sachin and Laxman would have retired, well may be who knows!
  10. Pray to god every day that the Indian captain Dhoni doesn’t make VVS Laxman bowl! (He can’t do anything wrong against the Australians isn’t it?)
With due respect to all the people mentioned in the article.
