Valladolid

The  Nuevo Estadio José Zorrilla has seen fairly good football from their club. The team has shown a decent home record and in the last eight games, only one game has gone without them getting on the score sheet. Diego Costa is in great form, and his chemistry with Manucho might be a cause of concern for the Barca defenders.

Of their last five games, Valladolid have lost two and drawn two games. Score-sheets have shown pretty low numbers and the players have been in the best of forms. But the coach is missing two regulars from his squad, namely Alavaro Rubio and Sisi, who are ruled out due to injuries. An interesting fact to note is that Valladolid have gone 7 years without a win against Barca, and they conceded 7 goals in the two encounters with them in the previous season.

Barcelona
The mood is pretty upbeat at the Barca camp. They have a five-point lead against their rivals Real Madrid, and Pepe Guardiola has just signed a one-year contract, banishing rumours of a move to Manchester United. Injuries haven’t been much of a bother for the Catalans, and the la Liga scoring chart still has Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lionnel Messi in the top three and the team have scored 10 goals in their last three matches. That can only be a sign of a confident, roaring power who are ready to take on any side, at any venue.

Prediction: Valladolid 1 – 2 Barcelona
