Last night’s match between Levante and Real Madrid i don’t have much of positive things to say about my club only one being thank God its the 3rd match of the season and not 33rd or 35th match of the season. Whereas Levante attacked, defended and played like a unit to be the deserving winners of the night. So lets see what I saw last night.

Beauty Of The Game Seemed Lost:

Like really what was Di Maria thinking  when he went down to the ground as if he like Ortiz was punched by Mayweather just after giving a hug. I am sure Real Madrid because of one player don’t want to branded as divers so Angel play like Mr. Noodle not like Di-ving Maria. Then late in the second half what was Coentrao thinking when he tried pulling back one of the attacker when he was darting into Iker’s box. Thats not the way Blancos play we sit on the head of the attacker when we defend not lag behind. I do feel if Di Maria had not gone down holding his face we just might have ended the game with 11 players and hence a better result too.

It was very rightly put by RMFootballBlog (http://twitter.com/#!/RMFootballBlog) on twitter and i am sure they would not want to say this again also:

“Uh oh, the spirit of Juanito that Real is famous for, is now seemingly replaced with the spirit of Idioto”

Radar Less Ship:

Last night Madrid’s attacking ability was like a ship whose radar had broken down and had no idea what to do. We had two opportunity in the first half when the goal was open all we had to do was slot the ball in but I don’t know it was as if we were in the mood of kindness ‘we are not going to score’. In the previous matches it has been said a lot of time “Madrid is perfect but needs to start converting every chance that it gets” and when you don’t you get last nights result.

Granero Was Missed:

When you are a player down and the midfield looks like a chaos you need a player who stays at the half line to brings some composure to the side that is where Granero is important to the side. He was deeply missed last night but where was he oh! he was in the stands watching the match with Albiol. I don’t know whats going on between him and Mourinho, I just hope it gets solved out as soon as possible because Madrid needs The Pirate. Many would say Mourinho did have Lass in the squad come on guys everyone knows Diarra is strength and physicality whereas Granero possesses patient and subtle game.

Its Not Movies- That Injured Are Always Stronger Than A Fit Guy:

I have always believed it doesn’t matter how good a player you are if you are not fully fit you are not suppose to be in the squad. Last night even though Ronaldo was injured he was substituted in at the HT which was surely an act of desperation and then we witnessed something i never thought i would ever see ‘36 year old Ballesteros defeated Cristiano in a sprint to reach the ball’.I would like to ask Mourinho what would he prefer: an injured world class player on the field who keeps loosing the ball and looks tired from the time he is on the field or a fit good player who with his fresh feet would add to the strength of the team.

JMo Bloopers:

Few things that can easily be pointed out against ‘The Special One’ are:

  1. He took Levante easily where he could have easily started with Ozil he decided to give him a rest.
  2. Substituting Benzema with Cristiano oh sorry injured Cristiano and then after 13 replacing Kaka with Higuain, just doesn’t make sense.
  3. Not including Granero in the squad.

The Other Points:

  1. I still feel if ref wanted he could have left Khedira with a warning rather than giving the second yellow.
  2. Hello Kaka is not the Torres of Real Madrid that every time something bad happens with the club everyone jumps up to blame the maestro. For me he had a pretty decent game last night which Mourinho also acknowledged.
  3. There was a player who hasn’t dawned the White jersey yet was also missed. Yes I am talking about Sahin we need him back in his healthy ways as soon as possible.
  4. We need to stop ending the match with 10 players do whatever it takes even if you need to give an ICE BATH between the halves do that if that keeps our player cool.
  5. The Madrid players couldn’t even give Aitor a perfect birthday gift.
  6. What has happened has happened we can still make up this loss by decreasing the number of draws as compared to last season.

My intentions to write this is not demoralise any of the Madridista who reads this. Its just a way for us to understand where might we be going wrong and which is that hurdle we need to overcome to achieve our goal. As i said earlier we need to be remmeber and stay happy that this was the third match of the season and not 33rd or 35th match there is still a long way to go.

I hope this loss is not the continuation of the pattern that happened last season. Last season every time Madrid had a game during the middle of the week they had difficulty with their match on the weekend. Someone has to have a talk with Di-Maria his play acting is a disgrace; I blame him for the loss. Coentrao played on the wing for the first time and it should be the last time he does, he should be playing in defence or in the midfield. Marcelo is a very talented player but he is a poor defender. I know Benzema scored many goals last year but if you look back at the games Madrid failed to win, you will realise that he missed some critical clear cut chances, just like he did once again against Levante. He is not a pure striker. Kaka played well for a spell early in the first half but he disappeared as the game progressed; he seemed to lose interest, or perhaps he is not match fit, but you could say the same about all the Madrid players that played on Sunday.

Well if one has to lose it's best that it happens early on in the season. Trust Mourinho he will know what to do.
