Year after year, we heard good old Benny was about to move up to no.1 position and this was the season that the opportunity really presented itself. Van der Sar’s wife had a fall and Foster tried to rise to the occasion, but never really stood tall. iSporter Pulasta Dhar on his move to Birmingham.

First Joe Hart and now Ben Foster. Alex McLeish has sure got an eye for English goalkeepers. For a player who as early as November 2009 wore the England no.1 shirt, the fall has been steep.

Sir Alex hates high profile errors which lead to making his team make hard work of an easy win and sometimes cost matches. Ben Foster is a good goalie no doubt, but he did not grab the chance with both hands…..instead, he just punched.
United have injected some extra cash in the region of 4-6 Million Pounds and the Glazers can take away some of it, even though I think most of it will be taken and paid to service the Royal Bank of blah blah.
Foster has a great chance of reviving his career where he has been overshadowed by the 6 foot 6 inch Eddie and the failure to make it to the World Cup squad may have been between the brackets on the dotted line he signed on.
Birmingham has been lucky for one English keeper and we have to wait and watch whether it will be for Ben Foster.
