Nasri and FabregasTwo weeks away from the 2011-12 season & we still don't know whether Cesc Fabregas & Samir Nasri will don the Arsenal colors again. Naturally all Arsenal fans worldwide must have their say on whether they should be sold or not & who should replace them.

On one of the chat sites a fan came up with an interesting point. He said that Arsenal players are at their best when they play under Wenger. And he wasn't joking!!!

Call it a jinx or a testament to Arsene Wenger's managerial abilities but barring Ashley Cole, no other Gunner's career has taken off once they've left the club. Below is a list of first team players who have left Arsenal Football Club since the summer of 2004 (supposedly the period after which things started to go downhill for the club).

The list includes 29 players who moved on for various reasons & a further 15 players who were cut out at a young age by Arsene Wenger because they couldn't break into the starting XI.

None of the players mentioned have so far achieved what they wanted once they left Arsenal Football Club. Sure they made more money, some even won trophies (with their contributions coming from the bench) but they key here is that they never got as much respect or recognition as they had in the Arsenal red & white.

Some players like Hleb have openly admitted that leaving Arsenal was a mistake on their part. That's not to say that Fabregas & Nasri will fail once they leave the club but it is something they should think about before moving on. For every 'Cashley' there's a Reyes, Hleb, Flamini, Henry, Vieira, Pires, Merida & Adebayor!!!
