This was like a shock for me as I thought finally Joe was becoming a part of Liverpool’s plan after going through a dull phase of his career. I Am The New CB As Per Mertesacker
For me this is a bigger signing than all the other signings that Arsenal has done, with the kind of defensive performances Gunners have displayed in past 3 weeks you need a guy of Per Mertesacker’s stature. Per is one of the most cautious defenders in the world but don’t take me wrong that he is not aggressive all I want to say is he learns from his experience and hence knows when to tackle and when to slide.
Tinge Of Brazilian Magic Is Always Welcomed
First of all clearly he is a much better Left-back as compared to Clichy, why because firstly he is a Brazilian, secondly he has great attacking instincts and thirdly cause he is pretty good from dead ball situations. Playing in Turkish league Andre Santos is one of the toughest Left Back in the midfield and is equally good in the final 3rd as he is at the back.
Another International Captain Joins Emirates
When you are a Captain of a South Korean side and you are good at scoring good number of goals and you are a striker, I say Arsenal hit a jackpot when they signed Park Chu-Young for 3million pounds from Monaco. Chu ran away from his medical at Lille after the intervention of Wenger assured the Korean it was better to move to London. I swear all they players are all becoming too movie like.

Yossi Benayoun after being linked to almost all the club in EPL finally penned the contract to keep him on loan at Emirates for full season. Yossi is a very versatile midfielder able to operate from any part of the field and above all that he is one the most skilful player in English Premier League today. And just like that Arsenal side looks more balanced & more experienced and now is the time for Wenger to weave his magic.

And with that Gooners have signed a contract to support Sunderland in their matches as a token of appreciation to take Bendtner away and give out lessons to the Black Cats fans on how to control the temper when they see the Danish player playing ego-ego in place of football.
Goodbye Madrid Hello Everton
Drenthe has flair and skills which made him the player pf the U-21 European Cup tournament and so Madrid spent 14 million to sign him from Feyenoord to sign the youngster. But forgot to do the background check as he was more interested to be a rapper and could never be a Madridista. Thanks to Everton he shall now play in England for next one season hope he learns some class there.

For me this is one of the best signings of the window, Parker is a good offensive & defensive player and he is a work horse and was awarded FWA Player of the season last year, after knowing all this all Spurs had to pay for him was 5 million pounds. FYI FWA Player of the season shall play with PFA Player’s Player of the Season.

Carlos Tevez
After all the rumours of him being home sick and joining Real Madrid, inter Milan, AC Milan, Napoli, Juventus, Boca Juniors and all other clubs he was linked to. At the end of the transfer window Tevez is still a Citizen.
Luka Modric
Chelsea made an initial bid of 20 million then 25 million for the Croatian play maker then everything cooled down as Daniel Levy made it clear Modric shall not leave. But remembering Berbatov’s move to Old Trafford there was still chance for Modric to move to Stamford Bridge. At the end of transfer window Redknapp made it open Spurs had to reject a 40 million deal from Chelsea to keep Modric at White Hart Lane.

... U missed out Gary Cahill, Neymar, Hazard (unmoved players)...... Also the biggest surprise this season is Man City selling their stars to big clubs within the BPL (Adebayor, Bellamy)..... probably an indication that Liverpool, Tottenham are no longer considered threats  |
