Sébastien Loeb who was supposed to drive the Scuderia Torro Rosso car at the next F1 event in Abu Dhabi was denied the super lisence by FIA after being repeatedly red flagged at a recent GP 2 series test. But that least of the Loeb's concerns as he has better things to celebrate.... like the sixth WRC ttile !World Rally Championship by many is regarded as the only place where one can judge the drivers skill and his winning tactics as there is so much more to it than only the car unlinke F1. The Frenchman Sébastien Loeb who turned intrested to road raing in 1995 at the age of 21 and took part in Citroën Saxo events.
Sébastien Loeb started racing in WRC in 2002 as a provisional driver with the Citroën Total World Rally Team. Taking part in only a handful of events, he won the Monte Carlo event but was later stripped off it due to an illegal tyre change. He later went to win the Germany rally. In 2003, Loeb in his first full season in the championship won three events and was placed second in the drivers championship.
Since 2004 Loeb has been dominating WRC driving the Citroën Xsara WRC car, in the same way as Michael Schumacher did in F1 in Ferrari. He went on to win 6 events and his first championship title. Loeb since then has not a single drivers title and recently won the 2009 WRC title at the Brithish event held at Wales.

Loeb dominated the start of 2009 season by winning the first 5 events but later on Mikko Hirvonen proved to be a strong rival, the British rally was where both the drivers could win the title and thanks to a loose pin in Mikko's car, the bonnet flipped open. Mikko lost around a minute fixing it at the penultimate stages of the rally and THAT cost him the title, Loeb won the championship by a single point!
While Mikko is now looking at other reasons than a loose pin for loosing points, Loeb is popping the champagne.
Loeb has won the last six WRC drivers title on the trot and has 54 WRC wins under his belt, both of which are records.
